This is a comprehensive, full color atlas and text about various head and neck, breast, thoracic, and palliative care for oncology. It goes beyond radiation by comparing and contrasting various approaches including beam therapy, chemotherapy, biologicals and surgery. I highly recommend this book to oncologists, radiosurgeons, and physicians. The a flow sheets and charts are first rate. I heartily recommend this publication for all readers for a quick reference book.

Nice, but...., February 04, 2011

Have only had a few days and find it to be very thorough and complete. An excellent reference. My only complaint is the price. It was my mistake but when ordering I neglected to note that this is only Volume 1. The second volume is not even published yet and they want another $359 or whatever for it. That is a huge amoount for two although good but small textbooks. Just wanted to point this out so others do not make the same mistake or assumption.
For the money, the reference by Hansen and Roach, Handbook of Evidenced-Based Radiation Oncology, is a much better buy.
I only delimma now is whether to send this one back for a refund or use what is in it. Will have to consider for a little longer.
