Minimally invasive surgery offers decreased morbidity, shortened hospital stays, and quicker recovery. Drs. Maria Troulis and Leonard Kaban are leaders in developing minimally invasive reconstructive surgery and sialendoscopy through their work in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Massachusetts General Hospital. The MGH program has produced excellent outcomes and minimal morbidity accompanied by a high level of patient satisfaction.
