The management of head and neck pathology is an ever-evolving discipline and the diagnostic and treatment modalities involved are as varied as the taxonomy of the different diseases included. The purpose of this issue of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America is not to provide a comprehensive review of pathology but to describe some of the adjunctive therapies and measures used in the management of these conditions. Several disciplines participate in the treatment of head and neck pathology and we have received contributions from the major participants.
