This volume provides overviews of where we have been and where we are going regarding our understanding of growth and development. In many instances, topics considered at this Symposium revisited and updated those presented during previous meetings. Topics included craniofacial growth modification, genetics and the Genome Project, biomaterial and biomechanics, interdisciplinary treatment, and surgery and distraction osteogenesis.
