5.0 out of 5 stars.  A must before the first dentist appointment, July 08, 2013
By Amy L Stein (TANEYTOWN, MD, US)
This really helped explain what the different tools would be (and what they were for). The dentist liked the names "Mr. Squirty" & "Mr. Thirsty". I would definitely recommend this book to any parent who wants to get their child ready for their first dentist visit.

2.0 out of 5 stars.  Didn't hold my son's attention, May 28, 2010
By K. Medley (Florida, USA)
This book isn't really fun to look at or read. I bought this to introduce my 3 year old to the dentist, but the book bored him and we've never even finished it. A year and a half later and he's never wanted to revist it. Try the Elmo or SpongeBob dentist books instead!

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Good First-Time Dentist Book, February 16, 2009
By C. Russell (Nebraska)
Good book for kids visiting the dentist for the first time. Prepares them well. We read it before every trip to the dentist, and at other times, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  I'm Surprised How Much My 2-Yr Old Loves It!, December 04, 2007
By Bree's Mommy (San jose, CA USA)
My daughter loves this book, and I'm not exactly sure why. Maybe it's the doggy on all the pages. Maybe it's the subject matter (she DOES love brushing her teeth). Lately, she's been requesting it as her bedtime story. I've just been reading the cartoons and talking about the pictures, because it is very wordy. It would be a good book for an elementary-school child (about 2nd grade one) to read to herself.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  book for easing dentist anxiety, May 14, 2007
By B. Bettcher (Glencoe, MN)
This is a good book for older kids - 6+ years - who still have anxiety about going to the dentist. Nice pictures and explanations.
