love the type of powder for travel, but not crazy about the taste

I like anise squares in hard candy, so I thought this product would be a pleasant tasting alternative to a tube of toothpaste for taking on vacation. With travel restrictions on toothpaste, this is a great alternative. But the anise taste was so strong it almost made me heave, due to almost a "burning" sensation in the flavor. Then the flavor and aroma stay around for hours, an unpleasant lingering taste. like a strong toothpaste that stays to continue to freshen breath, but this was too strong and too bitter & burning. Ecodent Anise tooth powder

I love this product and always get it when I'm in the states. It's not cheap. It leaves my teeth feeling clean and smooth and it appears to be good for my gums. The only downside is if it's in a damp room and open then the powder tends to cake and you have to open it to get out, thus losing some of the powder. BEST DENTRIFICE EVER!

I use to buy this when it was marketed and sold as Merfluan years ago. I went to the health food store one day to purchase it and was told that it was no longer available by the manager of the store. I found out later it was no longer called Merfluan and was now marketed under the brand name of Eco-Dent - same terrific product - new name! And, this is a terrific product! The taste is GREAT - it is economical - and it leaves your mouth and teeth actually feeling clean! It is a fantastic alternative to 'pure' baking soda - and tastes so much better!
