2.0 out of 5 stars.  Acupuncture energetics, June 21, 2010
By Julianne Petersen (Vancouver, BC)
The book is based on finding the answers in two other books (I didn't find that out until I bought it)
The re-shelving cost was as much as the book, so I kept it.
So, not usable as a teaching / learning tool unless you have the other two books but one is out of print and the other has revised and so the "refer to" pages are not there.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  "Seemingly" Energized!, February 20, 2009
By Dr Bill (Colorado Springs, Colorado United States)
I have enjoyed working the problems in this "workbook" and have found the conceptual material good. It might help to know that this book depends heavily on two other works, namely: The Web That Has No Weaver : Understanding Chinese Medicine and Essentials of Chinese Acupuncture. Without these works, the workbook depends heavily on ones own knowledge, which makes it somewhat pointless. That being said, there is a weath of useful information and I found a new and simpler way to look at patients, patterns and treatment philosophy. I have also been reading Miriam Lee's Insights of a Senior Acupuncturist which has had a powerful influence on the way I look at treatment. This book does require some clinical experience and may not be for the beginning student.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Practical and Conveys Conceptual Understanding, August 01, 2006
By david@davidburnet.com (Fawn Grove, PA; USA.)
I found this book to be more practical than most books on the subject, and it also gives a good conceptual understanding -- something all too rare, in this area.

If you want to learn what really works, is practical, and learn to go beyond using approaches that are like mechanical, rote formulas...you'll like this book.
