 Great camera, great value, January 29, 2016

I bought this camera so that I could use my ancient manual focus Nikon lenses (pre 1977 non-ai) which cannot safely be used on the more advanced Nikon D7x00 series and all Nikon full frame DSLs (except the DF).
Shortly after getting the D3200 my wife and I went on a trip to the Hudson River valley. I took the D3200 and an 18-55 DX autofocus kit lens with me and took nearly 100 shots at Storm King. When I examined them on my 23" Monitor I was impressed.
No, it isn't as good as my D600, but it comes very close and I really doubt that anyone could tell which camera I was using for a print smaller than 16 by 20.

D3200 is the best camera to start photography as a hobby. Lightweight, more power than a newbie needs and enough functions that the aspiring photog can grow into. Purchased for my younger brother this Christmas and he's taken to the craft and has no complaints at all.

Takes great photos and was huge hit with my wife. But she never uses it. All our photo's are taken with her iPhone,"because I always just have it". So I don't how great of a buy it was

Amazing for its Price, December 27, 2015

Don't underestimate this product. This was my backup camera for my professional photography and I was able to not only take amazing pictures but I was also able to print beautiful poster size pictures later and they turned out really nicely. For the price, I highly suggest it.

The last camera you would need to buy, until they change the technology to something completely new. Super camera, smooth action, feels great in hand. I bought a Nikon refurbished model, saved $100, indistinguishable from new. Highly intuitive controls, great big bright display. I use it with vintage Nikkor film lenses, mates perfectly across 40 years of technology.
