This book has a lot of good practice questions that will challenge you if you are pretty rusty on g-chem. However, the explanations for some are not very good. Some don't really take a conceptual approach to the problem and others just have downright wrong answers. Thankfully, this is not consistent throughout the book, but when you do some across one of those bad questions, it does waste quite a bit of time.

I used this general chemistry practice question book to identify my knowledge base. There were many questions that I needed to focus my understanding of the material. Great book to practice DAT gen chem. Well designed format of questions and many different topics that were tested on the DAT.

I used several prep book from Sterling and I am very pleased with the quality of their books. Targeted prep for the DAT. I like that they have separate books for each topic which allowed me to really focus on each subject and get fully prepared.

I spent a few months studying for the DAT and Sterling Prep has some great material. Great source for general chemistry questions and solutions that helped me understand the concepts. Recommend this as a primary source for DAT prep.
