Product Description:

Forget about drilling, filling, and the inevitable billing. Your teeth can heal naturally because they were never designed to decay in the first place! They were designed to remain strong and healthy for your entire life. But the false promises of conventional dentistry have led us down the wrong path, leading to invasive surgical treatments that include fillings, crowns, root canals and dental implants.

Now there is a natural way to take control of your dental health by changing the food that you eat. Cure Tooth Decay is based upon the pioneering nutritional program of dentist Weston Price, former head of research at the National Dental Association. Dr. Price's program proved to be 90-95% or more effective in remineralizing tooth cavities utilizing only nutritional improvements in the diet. Cure Tooth Decay is the result of five years of research and trial and error that started as one father's journey to cure his daughter's rapidly progressing tooth decay. With Cure Tooth Decay you will join the thousands of people who have learned how to remineralize teeth, eliminate tooth pain or sensitivity, avoid root canals, stop cavities — sometimes instantaneously, regrow secondary dentin, form new tooth enamel, avoid or minimize gum loss, heal and repair tooth infections, only use dental treatments when medically necessary, save your mouth (and your pocketbook) from thousands of dollars of unneeded dental procedures, and increase your overall health and vitality.

1.0 out of 5 stars.  I feel much less intelligent now after reading this book - warning this is a review by a Clinical Dentist!, October 28, 2013
By John Ferguson
This book was written by a person of unusual ignorance. He is not only ignorant of the basics of oral physiology but presumes himself to be educated and so promulgates his foolishness. All decent dentists are concerned about encouraging their patients have good cariogenic free diets and promote proper remineralization periods throughout the day. We actually do discuss diet with our patients. I have been a practicing dentist for over thirty years.

The author's understanding of the anatomy of a tooth is incorrect (begins on pg. 28, How teeth remineralize) and this flaw runs throughout his book. Nowhere does he speak about ameloblastic production of enamel during the tooth's developmental stages or refer to the fact that enamel is not replaceable once the tooth erupts into the oral cavity (although enamel can remineralize as it goes through a normal cycle of demineralization and remineralizion many times a day following eruption). The proteinaceous enamel matrix is remineralized via the mineral content of saliva, mostly derived from the highly mineralized saliva of the parotid and sublingual glands, not from the dentinal fluid.which is confined within the dentinal tubules.

I could continue to criticize this book further but I don't have enough room in this short review. The book may be good if it were completely rewritten and edited by someone who actually knew what they were talking about. However, as it exists now, don't buy this book! I received it as a gift (I believe it was meant to be a joke).

1.0 out of 5 stars.  DANGEROUS Speculation by Idiot with NO Dental or Medical Credentials. Who CARES about "his personal experience"?, October 06, 2013
By Rabbi Goldstein
I have been purchasing and reading health-related Kindle books for several years, many on holistic dental issues. This book by Negel stands APART from the others . . . in a NEGATIVE way. It is such a black-hole of MIS-INFORMATION that I felt duty-bound to write this scathing review. The author, RAMIEL NEGEL, admits he has NO dental credentials, NO medical credentials -- nothing whatsoever to support his "personal opinions" of how to reverse dental decay. He has a large vocabulary, and apparently enjoys "taking the microphone", and hence has written this garbage-bucket of MIS-INFORMATION to gratify that itch to be "in the spotlight" as a published author. Only he knows the motives.

The lists of CONFLICTING "personal opinions" he extrapolates from random "published studies", is . . . astounding in its arrogance and lack of scientific method. Seriously, where does he come up with this crap? For example: he advises his adoring audience to consume large quantities of milk and dairy products, high-glycemic (almost raw) sugars like honey, "barbecued beef" (!), butter, white flour (!). At the same, time, he instructs his adoring public to stop eating all grains.

I mean, I could go on and on - - - but the conflicts with other established holistic dental authors who DO have dental credentials, is a virtual page-by-page testimony to one person's out-of-control ego, combined with zero medical credentials, and the unfortunate opportunity to publish whatever invalid health advice RUBBISH he would like on Amazon (as long as he inserts the disclaimer on every-other-page that . . . . "this is just my personal opinion"). So tell me, Ramiel, why should I give a crap about your "personal opinion"?

Well, I guess you can tell I think Negel is more to be pitied than anything else . . . for the huge negative karma I believe he is incurring by passing around his hearsay and toxic "dental advice". Very dangerous book, guaranteed to screw-up your health if you follow even a SMALL portion of this fellow's "beliefs"!

INSTEAD, stick with the landmark authors available on Amazon Kindle titles: "Whole Body Dentistry" (Mark Breiner), "Oil Pulling Therapy" (Bruce Fife), "Uninformed Consent" (Levy & Huggins). ALL of the above authors cite from Price's early 1900 studies much more than Negel . . . but withOUT twisting-out incorrect "personall-biased conclusions"

So, now if you buy this book and follow the bhogus health advice from this un-qualified dental guru ("in his own mind", as Clint Eastwood might say), you'll have only yourself to blame when the disease sets in.

BETTER ADVICE: Do NOT by this book.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Very helpful, August 25, 2013
By John Truitt
Helpful, informative book. My only quibble is that the admonition to avoid fat soluble vitamin supplements because of purported ineffectiveness is just dead wrong and rooted in conjecture, emotion and religious fervor, not reality or science. It is the same balderdash committed by Sally Fallon when she made the claim that beri beri or pellagra will respond to foods with b vits in them but not to high potency b vitamin supplementation. I was skeptical so I looked for documented cases of outbreaks of these diseases in which this supposed fact was noted. I could find no such thing and found multiple accounts that said just the opposite, that the diseases are cured more rapidly if high potency supplements are used in addition to food.

You can get vitamin a from cod liver oil and it is very inexpensive. You can get natural vitamin d from lanolin. It works just the same. You can get k2 from natto or the mk4 version that is synthesized from something in a plant. This mk4 is being used by the Japanese to cure osteoporosis with great results. I and my family have been getting excellent results with these supplements in terms of arresting and reversing tooth decay, bone and joint problems, etc.

Many people just cannot afford to shell out 60$ for an 8 oz bottle of cod liver oil. Even if they could there are some disadvantages to it. The amount you can get from it varies from 2000 to 7000 units per tsp. So you can't dose very precisely. If you are very deficient or are a person who happens to regularly need higher doses because you probably have a vdr (vitamin d receptor) polymorphism, meaning you have a genetic problem that causes you to require much larger d levels than others to avoid deficiency symptoms, then you would have to consume very large quantities which would be a.) cost prohibitive and b.) potentially toxic from ingesting so much easily oxidated unsaturated fats. (Read Chris Masterjohns artcle westonaprice.org. he talks about how Dr Price was not an advocate of taking more than a tsp max of cod liver oil for this reason.) The reality is that we were meant to get large quantities of vitamin d from sun exposure. Problem is that today many people are too far north and/ or live in frequently cloudy places and so can't do this much of the year. Aside from cod liver oil which has its drawbacks there are relatively few that are high in d and some of those are expensive like sea foods. These might be eaten sparingly by most, but large enough quantities to be therapeutic would be cost prohibitive. The only cost effective solution and also simple enough to ensure compliance rather than struggling and juggling foods to try and get enough and having to guess at the dose you are actually getting, is to supplement.

I was taking a natural cod liver oil from garden of life which has the natural a and d in fairly high amounts at the largest dose I am comfortable with, one tbsp daily getting 2000 plus units of d. I also tried to eat as much other d foods as possible and get sun when possible. Based on tests and symptoms I was still d deficient. I also tried to eat as much pastured high k2 products as possible. I didn't get really good results until I started taking d3, k2 and vitamin a supplements instead of the cod oil and k2 from food only. I also strive to get calcium from dairy, bone broths, herbal infusions and an egg shell supplement I make myself. I eat greens and take some extra magnesium for magnesium intake.

I read Jeff Bowles book on high dose vitamin d and k2 on kindle and vitamin k2 and the calcium paradox: how a little known vitamin could save your life. I started out with 10,000 iu of d from fish liver oil, d3 10,000 iu and 1,000 mcg mk4 k2, 200mcg mk2 k2. Within 3 days maybe, I had to cut my thyroid med in half. I continued for about a week and then upped to 20,000 iu. Within a couple of days I started having the feeling of hyperthyroid again so skipped taking any that day with the plan to monitor daily. The next day I felt good and no symptoms indicating hypo or the need to take the thyroid. This has continued for a week or more now. I am warm, alert, and have good energy. No heart palps or shortness of breath. Plus my shoulder that popped and made grinding noises when swinging my arms walking is about 70 percent gone. I know it will go completely in time.

I plan on monitoring my blood levels and how I feel and figure out what dose I feel best on. That might be on the high side. I could be one of those with genetic vdr dysfunction.

I think that what has happened is that WAPF has swung from one extreme to another. This is somewhat understandable because careless and foolish interventions of man have caused a lot of problems. Feeding livestock unnatural diets has resulted in malnutrition in man. And on and on. So as a result they are very down on anything "man made". While I believe this is often true, there are exceptions. I believe nutritional supplements are one of the exceptions. Given the sorry state of affairs with regard to food availability and quality for many and inability to get adequate sun for many, supplements are a godsend and I am very thankful for them.

So don't let this author dissuade you from using supplements if that is what is cost feasible and compliance feasible for your needs. They do work and work great. My mother in law used to be sick all the time and never gets sick anymore. I could go on and on with proof of their efficacy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent Book, August 18, 2013
By KyleC
By far one of the best books I have ever read. Ramiel does a fantastic job of pulling many different nutritional ideas together in a comprehensive and easy to read manner. I have been familiar with some of the information that he covers for many years, but now I have a clear picture of how to easily put it into practice. I don't think I can recommend this book strongly enough, I have already been recommending and sharing it with my family and friends!

3.0 out of 5 stars.  Seems complicated and overwhelming, July 04, 2013
By Susan Dunkel
...though change often is. My immediate take-away is to incorporate cod liver oil into my supplement regime. I just do not see me fighting the system in the attempt to consume raw milk (it is illegal here in NC), nor am I going to make chicken bone broth and eat fish heads. It is just not happening being a working, single-mom. So, as I firmly believe that there is a correlation to nutrition and teeth health, I will strive to better my food choices and try to weed out all of the conflicting data and studies out there. At the same time I bought a book about oil pulling, so I will continue with that mode of healing as well as the cod liver oil and hope to see improvements. The other take away is that it is so important to find a dentist you trust. We just do not have to take them at their word. Most are in it to make money as it is their profession. Keep searching until you find the one you trust. I am still looking myself.
