This book has a lot of good information: however, it could have been written to where it was a little more reader friendly. That being said I still recommend this book.

Excellent and in-depth. Highly recommend this book for patients and those who are supporting them through their battle against head and neck cancer.

SUPERB RESOURCE, BEAUTIFULLY RESEARCHED AND WELL WRITTEN, March 06, 2013

This book is a MUST for anyone with head and neck cancer, it is easy to understand, complete and comforting, too. My husband has H&N SCC and this answered all our questions (and then some). Thorough and informative, a good read and handy reference tool. The style does not drag, it is quick to read and follow.
It clearly addresses diagnosis, pre-treatment, treatment, post-treatment, pain, and many many other problems.
There is a great reference section in the back for getting various forms of help such as social security disability benefits, and even names products for thick saliva, pain relief, etc. Most complete. We feel lucky to have found this at our hospital's library and have purchased this for ourselves.

All I will say is that the fact that this book states that oral/head/neck cancers are not very prevalent shows me that it is just written by two "Joes" who haven't done their research. Oral cancer alone is more common than breast cancer!
