This book presents an approach to postmortem human identification using dental image processing based on dental features. The book provides information various identification system based on dental features using various image processing operations. The book also provides information on a novel human identification approach that uses Infinite Symmetric Exponential Filter (ISEF) based edge detection and contouring algorithms. Author Information Dr. Deven N. Trivedi obtained his Ph.D. in Dental Image Processing from C.U. Shah University, Wadhwan City, Gujarat, India in 2017. He worked in industry for 10 years and has more than nine years of teaching experience. His area of research interest is Biometrics System and Image Processing. He has published more than 15 research papers with international journals and conferences. He has also reviewed many papers in various IEEE conferences. Dr. Nimit D. Shah obtained his Ph.D. in Biomedical and Instrumentation from MS University, Baroda, Gujarat, India in 2013. He is working as an Associate professor and Head of Electrical Engineering, C.U. Shah College of engineering & Technology, Gujarat, India. He is also recognized Ph.D. supervisor C U Shah University, Wadhwan Gujarat, India. His area of research interest is Biomedical Instrumentation, Medical Diagnostic Technique and Equipment, Image Processing, Video Processing, and Signal Processing. He has carried out five Research Project and has published more than 15 research papers in refereed & indexed journals, and conferences at international and national level. Dr. Ashish M. Kothari obtained his Ph.D. in Digital Video Watermarking from JJT University, Rajasthan, India in 2013. He is working as an Associate professor and Head of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Atmiya Institute of Technology and Science, Rajkot, Gujarat, India. He is also recognized Ph.D. supervisor at Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India. His area of research interest is Image Processing, Video Processing, Digital Watermarking and Signal Processing. He has published one book, a book chapter, and more than 25 research papers in refereed and indexed journals and conferences at the international and national level. Dr. Rohit M. Thanki received his Ph.D. in electronics and communication engineering from C. U. Shah University; M.E. in communication engineering from Sardar Patel University and B.E. in electronics and communication engineering from Saurashtra University, India. His research interests in the areas of Digital Image Processing, Digital Image Processing, Multimedia Security, Digital Watermarking, Compressive Sensing, Medical Image Analysis, Biometric Security, Machine Learning and Deep Learning. He has published 5 books and 3 books in press with Springer publisher. He has published 9 book chapters in edited book which are published by CRC press, Springer, Elsevier and IGI Global. He has also published many papers in refereed journals and in international conferences. His publications are indexed in web of science (SCI, SCIE & ESCI), Scopus, ACM Digital Library and IEEE Xplore. He is also a reviewer of IEEE Consumer Electronics Magazine, IET Image Processing, Signal Processing: Image Communication, Imaging Science Journal and Computers & Electrical Engineering.
