I smell a rat, December 20, 2013

Every glowing review was made within the same 48 hour period by reviewers who only made a single review, this book. If a cursory glance of reviews can show that the reviews are frauds, I shudder to think of what an IRS professional would make of any asset protection using this advice.

Lots of questionable reviews here, June 16, 2011

Simply note the glowing, sales-pitch-like 5-star reviews issued in mid-January by reviewers with only one "review" to their credit. The credibility of the author and/or his alliances is called into question right away. If he can't shill reviews in a more sophisticated manner than what we see here, how could we trust his advice on asset protection from very clever and aggressive predators?

Great Coverage of New Laws on FLP's and LLC's, January 18, 2011

I've read the 2011 version very carefully and appreciate that it's the only book that brings asset protection law fully up to date, to the current year. As Mr. Mintz points out, several states, by legislation or case law, have eliminated traditional charging order protection for Family Limited Partnerships and LLC's and the new model of asset protection generally relies on strategies such as a Family Savings Trust as a centerpiece of the planning. Also, there have been many changes in the offshore world over the past few years and the book does a good job of describing current issues with offshore banking and other vehicles. When the book is used in conjunction with the author's website [...], the reader will have a very thorough and continually up to date picture of the latest developments in the field.

Great book with new case law, January 17, 2011

Mr. Mintz's new book gives the reader an in depth look at the reality of our legal system which targets many blameless defendants simply because they are "deep pockets" with the ability to pay a claim. The chapter on " What Happens in a Lawsuit" is deadly accurate and anyone involved in litigation or even thinking about a lawsuit should definitely read this first. My thanks to the author for this very insightful and valuable book. I will certainly recommended it to many of my friends.
