Infused with xylitol and fluoride, Fluoride Dental Gel provides soothing and deodorizing properties along with cavity-fighting protection and desensitizing benefits. Xylitol is a natural sweetener that has been shown to inhibit the formation of plaque, as well as the bacteria implicated in tooth decay. A safe and effective concentration of a neutral sodium fluoride protects against cavities and aids in reducing sensitivity. This formula is naturally flavored with essential spearmint oil, which provides a safe and natural soothing and cooling effect while tasting great. It's also gluten free. This gel contains Oxygene®, Oxyfresh's exclusive proprietary ingredient that safely and completely destroys odors at their source, eliminating halitosis! Oxygene® inhibits odor-causing microorganisms by attacking volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs); neutralizing their malodorous by-products and the harmful effect they have in the mouth. Oxygene also disrupts bacterial colonization. Key Ingredients Oxygene® (Sodium Chlorite) disrupts bacterial colonization, oxidizes volatile sulfur compounds, eliminates oral odors, disinfectant properties Fluoride helps remove plaque, helps prevent tooth decay Xylitol which inhibits the growth of the bacteria that cause cavities Aloe Vera Gel soothes, promotes healing, helps ensure nutrient absorption Chamomile for soothing comfort Spearmint for soothing comfort and fresh feeling Active Ingredient: Sodium Fluoride .22% Inactive Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Xylitol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Sodium Chlorite (Oxygene® - Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Propylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

I certainly recommend it, October 13, 2017

This gel is very soothing, I use it as needed, but it is especially soothing to use it after I get my teeth clean because my gums get tender and sensitive. So I use this gel two to three times a day for a few days after going for my regular teeth cleaning.

Ingredient list, October 07, 2017

I have ordered this but not received it yet so I'll have to post an update later, but I wanted to post the ingredient list since its not on the website: Ingredients (copied from the Oxyfresh website): Water (Aqua), Xylitol, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Sodium Chlorite (Oxygene® - Stabilized Chlorine Dioxide), Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Mentha Viridis (Spearmint) Leaf Oil, Propylene Glycol, Methylparaben, Propylparaben
I do like that this is one of the few toothpastes out there that doesn't contain peppermint, which I am allergic to. I am currently using "Tooth Builder" toothpaste which works if I leave it on for five minutes each time I brush my teeth but not if I rinse immediately after brushing. My dentist also introduced me to MI Paste which worked great, but ended up causing problems because I didn't realize that one of the ingredients is derived from dairy (and I have a casein allergy). If you don't have a casein/dairy allergy the MI Paste is fabulous for reducing sensitivity and the "Tooth Builder" is also worth a try. I'll update this once I see how the Oxyfresh compares for reducing tooth/gum sensitivity.

Relief at Last!, August 14, 2017

I had half of the teeth in my mouth develop cavities within a one year period after fighting a bad case of MRSA that took 10 months of IV antibiotics to fully recover from. Since then, I have experienced so much gum pain every day! Oxyfresh Dental Gel is the first thing I have used that actually soothes the pain. Oragel works for a while but burns the gums if used too much. Oxyfresh never burns...its just soothes every time. I really love this stuff and highly recommend it to anyone suffering from tooth or gum pain.

Den-Mat has acquired the Rotademt name and now manufactures very a very superior handle and brushes, April 17, 2017

I used to use a Rotadent brush with Rotadent tooth gell. Both of these products went south under Zila. Den-Mat has acquired the Rotademt name and now manufactures very a very superior handle and brushes, but no tooth gel. Oxyfresh gel fills the bill and leaves my teeth feeling as slippery smooth and clean, at least as much as the original Rotadent gel and maybe better. The Rotadent brushes are made of fine fiber that bunches up with ordinary toothpaste, plus such paste is too abrasive for the rotary motion of the Rotadent.
For a person like me, whose saliva deposits a lot of calculus, there is no substitute for a true rotary brush with a gel, and the Xylitol in Oxyfresh is a real plus (no sulfate.) John Traugut P.S. I would prefer hydrated silica (inorganic) to the organic gel and sodium chlorite preservative.
