Product Description:

Oral Soft Tissue Diseases, 5th Edition, is designed to assist in the diagnosis and management of patients with oral soft tissue diseases. This is a visually-cued manual, organized into 9 convenient, tabbed sections providing a user-friendly format for the busy dental professional - a perfect chair-side reference. THE BENEFITS: Some oral soft tissue diseases exhibit distinctive clinical features and require little more than visual recognition to make an accurate diagnosis. Others share common features making an accurate diagnosis more challenging. Recognizing the clinical features most helpful in differentiating one lesion from another is an essential part of the diagnostic process. In this manual, each lesion is illustrated by one or more color photographs depicting typical clinical features and common variations. Recommendations for treatment and follow-up, including sample prescriptions and concise drug monographs, are included.

4.0 out of 5 stars.  Good brief information, October 30, 2013
By girl
I bought this and Lexicomp's "Oral Hard Tissue Diseases: A Reference Manual for Radiographic Diagnosis" together to study for oral path during dental school. It's not the best study aid, but it was a good source for easy and quick references-not as your sole study material. It has adequate pictures of the diseases and is pretty well organized (i.e. red lesions, white lesions, red and white lesions, ulcerated lesions, etc). It did lack information, but we all know that oral path has a ton of information.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Oral pathology at it's best visually!, January 02, 2012
By J
This oral pathology book is easy to understand for professionals and nonprofessionals. The photos are a great teaching tool. One week after receiving this book, all five providers had utilized the book in an educational way.

The fifth updated edition of ORAL SOFT TISSUE DISEASES joins others in Lexi-Comp's 'Dental Reference Library' and packs in a visual manual designed to support the diagnosis and treatment of oral soft tissue diseases. Lesions are arranged by diagnostic category and arranged in tabbed sections for quick reference, while color photos accompany keys to patient management. Dental professionals and students alike must have this!
