These cough lozenges worked better for me than any of the usual sort (Hall"s etc). When that scratchy tickly feeling started in the back of my throat, I could pop one of these and nip the coughing attack in the bud.

I first discovered Watermelon Frost when a wonderful colleague brought some back from Shanghai. When they ran out, I took the empty package in to China Town (Oakland) and tried different shops until I found one that carried them...that was fun, but much more convenient to order them online.

I don't need these since I started getting allergy shots and no longer have chronic bronchitis, but i am ordering some for a friend who is new to the miserable world of asthma sufferers. As others have mentioned, they don't taste great, but if you are tired of coughing these are the lozenges to try. And if you have chronic bronchitis like I did ask your doctor to check for asthma...mine didn't think I had it but apologized after doing a little breathing test...turns out had asthma all my life...but since it manifested as bronchitis not wheezing ,was not diagnosed. And yes I cracked a rib coughing when I was sixteen, sheesh.

Good luck to all and hope you find what works for you!

5.0 out of 5 stars  Best relief for canker sores.
By Jacki McGurk on May 26, 2014
Canker suffers rejoice. Not that having canker sores are joyful! This natural Chinese herb gives tremendous relief without stinging or burning. The taste isn't very pleasant, but the quick healing is worth the potent camphor flavor. This is not for cold sores!! Canker sores ie mouth ulcers only.

5.0 out of 5 stars  SO effective for sore throats!
By Jenny on April 17, 2013
When I was a kid, my parents made me take this stuff when I had a sore throat. I HATED the taste.

As an adult.. these little lozenges taste like they have some kind of menthol in them (but it doesn't taste the same way mentholated Hall's drops taste); they're slightly bitter but it's not too bad. I swear by these whenever my throat is sore/dry from coughing.

2.0 out of 5 stars  Not What I Expected
By LinLin on March 24, 2013
I purchased these lozenges thinking that watermelon would be a mild and slightly sweet flavor -- strong flavoring tends to aggravate a number of ongoing problems. The lozenges arrived right on time, and well packaged. There was, however, no detectable trace of watermelon scent, flavor, anything. They had a powerful menthol component which I couldn't tolerate at all and so had to throw them out. Wish there had been some warning.
