Great book, arrived timely. Used this book for Chemical Dependency Counseling curriculum. This older edition worked perfectly in class, i didnt need to purchase the new edition.

this book was my text book for my CD class at Pierce College in Washington State. I am still using it today for and with my my CD clients. It is very resourceful. I especially like the first person accounts of addiction, they made a scary impact on my clients. This is why I ordered a second copy so that we could read it together

Awesome text book and reference. There are newer editions but this is a great book....one I actually kept. The presentation of the material was clear and purposeful and relevant to the Drug and Alcohol Counseling Field.
