This was one of my favorite books and authors from childhood, so I ordered this to read to my 3rd grade students. It is still as great a story as I remember and my students also loved it. I really like using books by William Steig with my students because they use very advanced vocabulary in a kid friendly way. I would also recommend his other stories, Amos & Boris, Brave Irene, and Sylvester and The Magic Pebble.

I bought this book for our dentist whose wife is his assistant. What could be more perfect? I read it through, and laughed a lot, too! It is a really cute book with great illustrations. Kids will love it.

I loved this book as a girl, and I bought it for my daughter in hopes that she will love it too. We read together daily and I hope she has a love for books and reading just like I have.
