I thought this would help me understand how do physicians manage to give good service to many people each day and run a successful business. Silly me. Learned nothing.

3.0 out of 5 stars.  High on philosophy, low on practicality, May 04, 2014

This book does give a nice philosophy of how to structure your practice so that you get more out of it, but there are almost no concrete examples of how to implement that philosophy.

5.0 out of 5 stars.  Excellent, March 30, 2014

No, this book will not give you a step-by-step way to transform YOUR practice but it will give you the building blocks to utilize your brain to know what needs to be done and why it hasn't been working.

Some of the negative reviewers seem to have expected the book to do the work for them. You can hire practice consultants to come in and do it for you but this book is really all you need if you still have the energy left to make the necessary changes. It's hard when you already feel so burned out but I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel as I'm slowly and surely implementing the changes recommended by this book.

A very good read!
